Tom Kerr Really Cares

Tom Kerr Really Cares

Racing is usually known for fierce rivalries and tough competition. The cars are expensive and drivers have to push the cars to their very limits. Sometimes that leads to epic on-track battles and other times it leads to disastrous wrecks. Michael Levitas had the latter happen this past weekend at Road America. He managed to go off at the kink and come back on safely. Michael quickly moved over to the right to allow other cars with momentum to...

The Comradery of Defeat

The Comradery of Defeat

Imagine you are sitting on the front porch of an old southern plantation house, telling tales of races near and far, one evening in the summer. It’s not too hot because the sun is setting, but the humidity is fairly high since it’s July in North Carolina. A nice breeze blows across the porch as everyone takes turns sharing their best race stories. When the time comes for Randal to share, he pauses and continues to slowly rock in his...

Why the 986 Boxster is a Porsche that we should all be shopping for Tuesday, June 26, 2018 Photos courtesy Porsche Above: 2002 Porsche Boxster (left) and Boxster S. The 986 Boxster is today’s 914. We have not-so-scientific proof: According to the Mart section of the September 1997 issue of Porsche Panorama (which incidentally, featured a brace of new 986 Boxsters on the cover), the price of a great then 20-year-old 914 was about $4,000 to $5,000. Adjusted for inflation, that figure becomes about $8,000...

Shaping up a new-to-me 07 GT3

I bought this 07 GT3 from a Chevy dealer in Albany, NY back in March. This car was pretty rough around the edges(its all can afford on a grease monkey's salary  ). The dealer left the key ON in the ignition and drained the battery dead in the showroom. The previous owner spent good money on mods but just didn't turned out too well. The good news is the handling was so bad, even at legal highway speed, I doubt...

Unfortunatley, the turbo Cayman we had ligned up for him fell through last minute due to a scheduling conflict. Another customer was gracious enough to let Matt drive his car for...
