Project 997 Single Turbo hits the DYNO
After many months of R&D, the TPCRacing Single Turbo System for the Porsche 997, is ready to hit the dyno. Drawing from our hugely successful Cayman Turbo Kit, we decided to move on to Porsche’s flagship model, the 911. Designed to work on vehicles with both the 3.6L and 3.8L engines, the TPCRacing 997 Single Turbo Kit will provide more power than our previous Supercharger system as well as providing an easier installation and a lower cost to the customer. In addition, this brand new turbo conversion will provide customers many options for performance upgrades for those seeking more than 500hp. We are currently adapting this system for 996 models featuring the 3.4L and 3.6L engines as well.
On its first run on the dyno, the TPCRacing 997 Single Turbo Produced very promising numbers. On pump fuel, pushing a mere 4.5lbs of boost, the Turbo put down 406hp to the rear tires.
