The experience behind the wheel is something visceral yet refined. Traditionally with aftermarket turbo kits, the driver is forced to sacrifice the comfort and drivability of their vehicles when they want to drive the cars at normal “street” speeds. That is not the case with the TPC Racing 987.2 Cayman/Boxster Turbo Kit. These cars feel as if they just pulled off of the showroom floor with the turbo kit already installed. Driving with the TPC Racing 987.2 Turbo around town is a pleasure. The throttle inputs are as smooth as stock, but with a much broader power band, allowing the car to pull hard from almost any RPM. The power feeds on quickly but smoothly as you give the car more throttle, and will absolutely scream all the way to redline when pushed! This is the way these cars should have come from the factory.
Performance
At TPC Racing, we believe that there is a lot more to a vehicle’s performance than just peak horsepower. With this mantra in mind, we develop our turbocharger systems using custom built(for the application) turbochargers that deliver a strong peak of 115WHP over stock, but also provides fantastic response with it’s ability to quickly spool, allowing it to provide nearly 100ft/lb of torque(at the wheels) from 3500 RPM to redline. This is performance that will easily surpass a Porsche GT3 or Corvette!
