With Scott Schmidt, Trevor Andrusko and Tyler Hoffman at the wheel of the TPC Racing built 991 GT3 Clubsport dominated the AER weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park winning both 8 hour races! Harris Levitas managed the chassis setup and the car ran flawlessly all weekend during test days, 8 hours of racing on Saturday and 8 hours of racing on Sunday. The TPC Racing built 991 GT3 Clubsport chassis is so balanced that during an 8 hour race, the team was the only front running car to not pit and change tires at all during either of the races which paid off when running against high horsepower factory built GT4 cars. All three drivers drove great clean stints in both races and it was great to sweep the weekend at NJMP.

Efrin Castro proves he may just be the new king of Mid-Ohio. In a field of highly modified Porsche 991 GT3 Cup cars and Ferrari 458 and 488 Challenge cars, Castro on old Yokohama tires with a TPC Racing setup by our engineering brainchild Kelvin. Efrin led one practice session in an IMSA legal 991.1 GT3 Cup car and Levitas in the 36 991.2 ran in the front of the 4.0L class. Efrin had an amazing weekend and the team did a fantastic job with the setup. For the final sprint race of the weekend, Castro started at the back of the field and worked his way up to the front to finish ahead of all other 3.8L 991 GT3 Cup cars on track.

On another front Coby Shields wheels home consecutive wins and track records in his DSC Sport powered Gen 6 Camaro SS.

“It was an extremely successful weekend for our racing programs,” TPC Racing Director of Racing Operations said. “I am absolutely thrilled for Scott, Trevor and Tyler for the finish the TPC Racing built GT3 Clubsport had at NJMP in both 8 hour races. We have proven that this build is reliable and just a blast to drive. It was great to see such a nice result for Scott on his birthday weekend. Then with our IMSA GT3 Cup team attending a club event at Mid-Ohio to get testing in for the GT3 Cup race later this season, it was fantastic to see Efrin doing so well. Efrin is working so hard this year to train and our team has done a fantastic job working hard and finding the chassis setup. We have been doing a ton of testing before the official season starts back up and I think that it will really pay off in results for the drivers that have participated in the tests.”

“What an amazing weekend,” TPC Racing president and driver of No. 36 GT3 Cup Michael Levitas said. This is proof that when amazing people get together and use the power and might of TPC Racing plus the technology of DSC Sport, anything is possible. Many thanks to all the guys at the shop who prepped all of the cars and to Harris who pilots the race team. It’s a large and varied group that we are extremely fortunate to have and be part of.”
